The Benchmarking Survey is designed for the benefit of NPTC fleet members compare their operation to other best-in-class performers, to identify strategic areas of opportunity, and to enhance their value proposition.

NPTC is excited to introduce a new questionnaire platform provided by Dynamic Benchmarking, one of the top providers of benchmarking development and support. This year’s survey platform features:

Participants can also download the survey in Excel format, which can be circulated to team members; answer sections in the order of their choosing; save data and re-login; and easily stay up-to-date on completion progress.

The primary membership contact of each NPTC Fleet member has been provided direct access to the survey platform. If you have a question about accessing the survey, please email benchmarking@nptc.org for assistance.

For the first time, the questionnaire is offered in an electronic format for improved navigation! For ease of data submission, the form is arranged in five sections. You are welcome to complete the sections as they appear or in order of your choosing.

We understand the essentiality of keeping your responses completely confidential, which does not change in this online format. Your company’s responses will not be reported or shared with anyone, rather they will simply be aggregated into a broad dataset for analysis of trends and industry standards.

Survey contributors will be invited to join a special webcast to preview the 2023 Report before its official release on August 1, 2023. In addition, contributors are welcome to request specialized, customized reports to better calibrate your operation against those companies that operate in a similar fashion.

Should you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Tom Moore at tmoore@nptc.org or 703-838-8898.

Conducted during the Spring of each year, the Benchmarking Survey collects key operating, safety, labor, technology, equipment, maintenance, and financial data that is combined and aggregated to provide NPTC members with performance metrics and standards for continuous improvement. NPTC would like to thank the 114 private fleet company contributors to this year’s survey.
